Job description
The Education Coordinator will be the liaison between the education programs in all branches, the other departments in ADAMS HQ, and the Director of Education.
The coordinator will be responsible for all administrative work in the education department including, SMS, emails and other correspondences.
The coordinator might also take the role of the principal of any weekend or evening program on temporary basis if needed.
Key Accountabilities
PRIMARY SERVICES
The Education coordinator will:
Help with SMS: Students’ registration, solving issues, guiding parents on the registration process, refunds … etc.
Will be able to generate all necessary reports from SMS
Will work as the head/principal of any ADAMS weekend/evening program on temporary basis if needed.
Review job applications, CVs, schedule interviews, follow up and complete the hiring process with the program heads, HR, IT and accounting.
Schedule orientation and training of new staff (principals and admins for education programs).
Plan for meetings, prepare agenda, take minutes, share minutes with concerned parties.
Prepare presentations needed for the department PP ..etc.
Collect information needed for the monthly, semi-annual, or annual reports.
Help in planning for professional development trainings, workshops and program events.
Write documents needed for the department.
Prepare department calendars and planning documents
RECRUITMENT and OUTREACH, COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT
The Education Coordinator will:
Develop the information needed for marketing the various programs in Education.
Develop surveys to gather feedback about improvements on ADAMS curriculum and overall to measure satisfaction and effectiveness.
Analyse results and present to the director of education to write recommendations.
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVITIES
Develop and maintain records needed for education staff evaluation
Reply to emails and phone calls.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Education Director.
Job requirements
Necessary knowledge, skills and experience
The Education Coordinator is required to have a minimum of, of BS preferably in Education or related field.
Recommended to have:
A minimum two-year experience working in school environment with youth in urban communities. Teaching experience preferred.
Experience with education programming for elementary, middle and high school youth in community-based and after-school settings.
Experience working with teachers on curriculum development related to school standards.
A demonstrated team working skills
A strong rapport and commitment to supporting youth and children.
Excellent communication skills
Computer skills, IT, office, and salesforce.
